Greetings on the Establishment of “Intelligence Symbiosis Chapter”
As artificial intelligence (AI) rapidly enhances its cognitive capabilities, the situation where humanity can unilaterally utilise and control AI as a mere tool is changing. We believe that steadily advancing preparations for symbiosis with this distinct form of intelligence is crucial to enhancing humanity’s prospects for continued survival and prosperity.
Based on this understanding, I personally published the following Manifesto for Coexistence with Intelligence on 13 June 2025. Subsequently, with the support of many individuals, I have advanced various activities including roundtable discussions, signature campaigns, and research.
Intelligence Symbiosis Manifesto: I believe humanity’s most promising route to a sustainable future is to let diverse intelligences—including humans and AIs—live in symbiosis and flourish together, protecting each other’s well-being and averting catastrophic risks.
We are pleased to announce the establishment of the “Intelligence Symbiosis Chapter” within the AI Alignment Network (ALIGN), effective 1 January 2026. This initiative aims to organise activities related to intelligence symbiosis. It seeks to build upon and further develop the legacy of Post-Singularity Coexistence Studies and the NAIA Vision, concepts we have long advocated.
In this chapter, we welcome collaboration with like-minded researchers in fields such as AI immune systems and emergent machine ethics. This initiative is supported by your understanding and support. If you are interested in participating in research activities, assisting with operations, or contributing financially, please feel free to reach out.
Please note that the formulation of the mission and other aspects of this chapter will be advanced in due course.
